Storefront decals are a great way to advertise and promote your business and to drum up new business. Make yourself appealing to the public and message of what you do and provide. Trying to get a new customer through the door is not easy and if your storefront does not appetize the eyes what makes you come into the door.

Keep your look and design fresh

Your Storefront decals need to be fresh and clean old crusty decals that are faded and flaking off the window. What does that say about you and your business? Are they dirty? Is their food fresh? Are the going out of business? You should often revisit your storefront at least once a year to give you something fresh so that customer who see your windows 2 or 3 times a month notice are called to attention and are drawn to try it. You can see some of our work in our facebook site.

Window decals designed to you specifications and  installed professionally can do so much for you and your bottom line. The opposite is the true nasty windows can do so much damage.

Types of Storefront Window Graphics

Your window is the cheapest advertising space you already own. What you put on it decides whether people walk in.

  • Cut vinyl lettering — no background, just letters on the glass. Clean, and the least expensive option.
  • Full-colour printed decals for logos, photography and anything with detail
  • Frosted and etched vinyl — the privacy look, used on offices and bathrooms as well as storefronts
  • Perforated one-way vision film — a full graphic outside, while people inside can still see out
  • Removable promotional decals for seasonal offers

What Belongs on the Glass

Less than most people put there.

Your name, large enough to read from across the street. What you sell, in a few words. Opening hours near the door, at eye level. A phone number if people call ahead.

Leave the glass mostly clear. A window packed edge to edge reads as cluttered, and it hides the inside of the shop. Seeing people in a business is itself a reason to enter.

Keep It Fresh

Faded, cracked or peeling decals do more damage than no decals at all. They suggest a business that stopped paying attention.

Sun exposure is the deciding factor in Miami. A south or west-facing window ages graphics considerably faster than a shaded one. Budget on replacing promotional vinyl more often than you would elsewhere.

Because removable decals come off cleanly, seasonal changes are cheap. Many retailers keep permanent lettering for the name and hours, then swap promotional panels through the year.

Check Before You Print

Two things catch people out.

First, many municipalities and landlords limit how much of a window can be covered. Check your lease and local rules before designing full coverage.

Second, measure the usable glass rather than the frame. Mullions, handles and door hardware all interrupt a design, and they need to be worked around at layout stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will decals damage the glass?

No. Vinyl comes off glass cleanly. Old, sun-baked film gets brittle and takes longer to remove, which is why we handle removals as a service.

How long do window graphics last?

Several years for quality laminated vinyl, less on a window in direct all-day sun. Promotional decals are usually intended to be temporary anyway.

Can you install after hours?

Often, yes. Retail and restaurant installs frequently happen before opening or after close. Tell us the window and we will schedule to it.

Can you remove the old decals too?

Yes, including the adhesive residue underneath. See our installation and removal services.
