Vehicle Boat Wrap FAQ

Vehicle & Boat Wrap FAQ

1. What is a vehicle or boat wrap?

A wrap is a large sheet of adhesive-backed vinyl film digitally printed with custom graphics or a solid color. It is applied by trained professionals to cover part or all of a vehicle or boat, giving it a completely new look without paint.

2. How much does a vehicle or boat wrap cost?

Costs vary based on the size of the vehicle or boat, the type of wrap (full, partial, or color change), and design complexity. Partial wraps typically start around $1,500 to $3,000. Contact us for a custom quote.

3. Will a wrap damage my vehicle or boat finish?

No. When applied and removed correctly by a professional, wraps actually protect the factory paint or gel coat underneath from UV rays, minor scratches, and weather exposure.

4. Do I need to clean the vehicle or boat before installation?

Yes. The surface must be free of dust, mud, wax, oil, and any protective coatings before installation. The surface temperature must also be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit for proper adhesion.

5. How long do vehicle and boat wraps last?

Quality wraps last 3 to 7 years depending on care and sun exposure. Vehicles and boats stored indoors or under cover will last longer than those left outside daily.

6. What vehicles and watercraft can be wrapped?

Wraps can be applied to virtually any vehicle or watercraft including cars, trucks, vans, trailers, motorcycles, boats, jet skis, golf carts, and more.

7. What finishes are available?

We offer gloss, matte, and satin finishes as well as specialty options like chrome, carbon fiber, metallic, and color-shift vinyl for a truly unique look.

8. Can a wrap be repaired if it gets damaged?

Yes. Localized damage can often be repaired by removing just the affected section and replacing it, without needing to redo the entire wrap.

9. How long does installation take?

Installation typically takes 1 to 3 days depending on the size and complexity of the vehicle or boat. This allows time for proper preparation, application, and adhesion.

10. What happens to boat shrink wrap after winter storage?

After removing boat shrink wrap, we recommend recycling it at a designated recycle yard. Many marinas and wrap shops also offer drop-off options for used shrink wrap material.
