Booklet and Brochures FAQ

Booklets & Brochures FAQ

1. What page counts are available for booklets?

Booklets and brochures work in multiples of four. A single folded sheet creates a 4-page piece. Two sheets folded and stapled make an 8-page booklet. We can produce booklets in any page count that is a multiple of 4.

2. What binding options are available?

We offer saddle stitching (stapled spine) for smaller booklets and perfect binding (glued spine like a paperback) for thicker publications. Perfect binding is ideal for catalogs and higher-page-count booklets.

3. What folding options are available for brochures?

Popular folding options include tri-fold, z-fold, half-fold, gate fold, and accordion fold. Each creates a different presentation style suited to different types of content.

4. What paper stocks do you recommend?

For covers, we recommend a heavier card stock (80lb to 100lb cover). For interior pages, 60lb to 80lb text weight works well. Gloss coated stock is great for image-heavy pieces, while matte gives a more refined look.

5. What is the difference between gloss and matte finish?

Gloss finish provides a shiny, reflective look that makes colors vibrant. Matte finish is non-reflective and has a smooth, elegant appearance that is easier to read under bright lighting.

6. Do you offer eco-friendly brochure printing?

Yes. We offer recycled paper options and environmentally responsible printing processes. Ask us about our eco-friendly stock choices.

7. What file format should I submit?

Submit print-ready PDFs in CMYK at 300 DPI with bleed on all sides. Make sure pages are ordered correctly (as reader spreads or single pages — ask us which format is preferred for your job).

8. What is the turnaround time?

Turnaround depends on the quantity, page count, and binding type. Standard jobs typically take 5 to 10 business days after proof approval. Rush options are available.

9. Can I use different paper for the cover and interior?

Yes. Using a heavier, coated cover stock with a lighter interior text stock is a common and professional approach that adds durability to your booklet.

10. Will I receive a proof before printing?

Yes. A digital PDF proof is provided for all booklets and brochures before production begins so you can review layout, content, and pagination.
